‘Vocabulary’
- Pessimism (noun)
Meaning: a tendency to see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen; a lack of hope or confidence in the future. (निराशावाद)
Synonyms: defeatism, negativity, cynicism
Antonyms: optimism, cheer, hopefulness
Sentence: The dispute cast an air of deep pessimism over the future of the peace talks.
- Dichotomy (noun)
Meaning: a division or contrast between two things that are or are represented as being opposed or entirely different. (विरोधाभास)
Synonyms: division, separation, split
Sentence: There is a dichotomy between the academic world and the industrial world.
- Skimped (verb)
Meaning: expend or use less time, money, or material on something than is necessary in an attempt to economize. (कंजूसी करना)
Synonyms: stint on, scrimp on, economize on
Antonyms: wasted, lavished, misspent

- Ingenuity (adj.)
Meaning: the quality of being clever, original, and inventive. (सरलता)

- Knack (noun)
Meaning: an acquired or natural skill at performing a task. (आदत)

- Sly (adj.)
Meaning: having or showing a cunning and deceitful nature. (धूर्त)

- Conscientious (adj.)
Meaning: (of a person) wishing to do what is right, especially to do one’s work or duty well and thoroughly. (ईमानदार)

Sentence: We are generally very conscientious about our work.
- Perversity (noun)
Meaning: a deliberate desire to behave in an unreasonable or unacceptable way; contrariness. (प्रतिकूलता)

Antonyms: amiability, serenity

- Decadence (noun)
Meaning: moral or cultural decline as characterized by excessive indulgence in pleasure or luxury. (पतन)

- Assortment (noun)
Meaning: a miscellaneous collection of things or people. (वर्गीकरण)
Synonyms: mixture, variety, array
Antonyms: likeness, sameness, similarity
Sentence: The room was filled with an assortment of clothes.
