‘Vocabulary’
- Rubric (noun)
Meaning: a word or series of words often in larger letters placed at the beginning of a passage or at the top of a page in order to introduce or categorize (शीर्ष)
Synonyms: caption, head, header
Sentence: The rubrics at the beginning of the chapters are intended to be humorous.
- Repudiated (verb)
Meaning: refuse to accept or be associated with. (को अस्वीकार नहीं किया)
Synonyms: reject, renounce, abandon
Antonyms: accepted, adopted, embraced
Sentence: Socialism had been repudiated at the polls.
- Diurnal (adj.)
Meaning: occurring, done, produced, or appearing every day (प्रतिदिन)
Synonyms: daily, day-to-day, quotidian
Antonyms: monthly, weekly, yearly

- Recalcitrant (adj.)
Meaning: having an obstinately uncooperative attitude toward authority or discipline. (आज्ञा न माननेवाला)

Antonyms: amenable, biddable, compliant

- Naught (noun)
Meaning: the numerical symbol 0 or the absence of number or quantity represented by it (शून्य)

Sentence: He’s naught but a worthless fool.
- Obsequious (adj.)
Meaning: obedient or attentive to an excessive or servile degree. (चापलूस)
Synonyms: servile, ingratiating, unctuous

Meaning: the quality of being religious or reverent. (धर्मनिष्ठा)
Synonyms: devoutness, devotion, piousness
Antonyms: atheism, godlessness, unholiness
Sentence: This is clearly a work of filial piety.
- Rectitude (noun)
Meaning: morally correct behavior or thinking; righteousness. (इंसाफ)
Synonyms: righteousness, goodness, virtue
Antonyms: evil, immorality, iniquity
Sentence: Maddie is a model of rectitude.
