Meaning: to take on a different shape, appearance, or state (परिवर्तन)

Synonyms: transform, change, transfigure

Meaning: ward off (a weapon or attack) with a countermove. (बचाव)

Meaning: a person’s ability to cope well with difficulties or to face a demanding situation in a spirited and resilient way. (उत्साह)

Meaning: the state, condition, or period of being pending or awaiting settlement. (लम्बित)

Synonyms: unresolved, unsettled

Sentence: The defendant should be restrained from further public comment during the pendency of the trial.
