‘Vocabulary’
- Capricious (adj.)
Meaning: given to sudden and unaccountable changes of mood or behavior. (मनमौजी)
Synonyms: fickle, inconstant, changeable
Antonyms: certain, changeless, constant
Sentence: It’s terrible to feel our livelihood hinges on a capricious boss.
- Nebulous (adj.)
Meaning: having an often intentionally veiled or uncertain meaning (अस्पष्ट)
Synonyms: indistinct, indefinite, unclear
Antonyms: accessible, clear, nonambiguous
Sentence: The rules are too nebulous to be applied consistently.
- Defer (verb)
Meaning: put off (an action or event) to a later time; postpone. (आस्थगित करें)
Synonyms: postpone, put off, adjourn
Antonyms: act, deal (with)
Sentence: They deferred the decision until February.
- Wretched (adj.)
Meaning: (of a person) in a very unhappy or unfortunate state. (मनहूस)
Synonyms: miserable, unhappy, sad
Antonyms: great, marvelous, wonderful
Sentence: I felt so wretched because I thought I might never see you again.
- Strangle (verb)
Meaning: squeeze or constrict the neck of (a person or animal), especially so as to cause death. (दबाना)
Synonyms: throttle, choke, garrotte
Antonyms: breath, exhale
Sentence: The victim was strangled with a scarf.
- Rescinding (verb)
Meaning: revoke, cancel, or repeal (a law, order, or agreement). (रद्द कर देना)
Synonyms: revoke, repeal, abrogate
Antonyms: continuing, keeping, initiating
Sentence: Now I’m thinking of rescinding employee ownership, although there is some difficulty in doing that.
- Stentorian (adj.)
Meaning: (of a person’s voice) loud and powerful. (बुलंद)

Sentence: He introduced me to the staff with a stentorian announcement.
- Gaffe (noun)
Meaning: an unintentional act or remark causing embarrassment to its originator; a blunder. (चूक)

Sentence: He didn’t realize what a gaffe he’d made.
- Agglomeration (noun)
Meaning: a mass or collection of things; an assemblage. (ढेर)
Synonyms: collection, lump, cluster
Sentence: This agglomeration of funds resolves a number of problems.
- Seclusion (noun)
Meaning: the state of being private and away from other people. (एकांत)
Synonyms: isolation, solitude, retreat
Antonyms: companionship, company, comradeship
Sentence: I live very much in seclusion these days.
