Meaning: having a huge appetite (भुखा)

Antonyms: satisfied, full, content

Meaning: having to do with the practical details of regular life (सांसारिक)

Antonyms: sublime, noble, lofty

Meaning: having or showing a very abnormal or sick state of mind (पागल)

Synonyms: psychotic, lunatic, mad

  1. Bereft (adj.)

Meaning: suffering the death of a loved one (वंचित)

Synonyms: bereaved, grieving, weeping

  1. Poignance (noun)

Meaning: a harsh or sharp quality (मार्मिकता)

Synonyms: bitterness, bite, poignancy

Antonyms: softness, gentleness, mildness

Sentence: Her presence in the completed project adds an unintentional poignance now.

  1. Discarded (verb)

Meaning: to get rid of as useless or unwanted (त्याग देना)

Synonyms: umped, unloaded, ditched

Antonyms: adopted, used, employed

Sentence: He discarded an old hat and an old pair of shoes.

  1. Voluntary (adj.)

Meaning: done, made, or given with one’s own free will (स्वैच्छिक)

Synonyms: volunteer, willing, spontaneous

Antonyms: involuntary, compelled, forced

Sentence: a voluntary contribution to the school’s fund-raising drive

Meaning: to separate the various strands of (सुलझाया)

Meaning: a person who has committed a serious crime (अपराधी)

  1. Brazen (adj.)

Meaning: displaying or marked by rude boldness (बेशर्म)

Synonyms: bold, impudent, wise

Antonyms: timid, meek, shy

Sentence: a brazen demand for special treatment just because she’s rich
