‘Vocabulary’
- Relevance (noun)
Meaning: the quality or state of being closely connected or appropriate. (प्रासंगिकता)
Synonyms: applicability, bearing, connection
Antonyms: irrelevance, inapplicablity
Sentence: The theory bears little relevance to practice.
- Plaudit (noun)
Meaning: an act or round of applause (प्रशंसा)
Synonyms: applause, cheering, praise
Antonyms: smirk, taunt, put-down
Sentence: Her performance won plaudits from the critics.
- Syncope (noun)
Meaning: a temporary state of unconsciousness (बेहोशी)
Synonyms: faint, daze, blackout
Antonyms: well, strong, distinct
Sentence: This summer, I also feel a sense of syncope.
- Scarce (adj.)
Meaning: insufficient for the demand. (कम)
Synonyms: lacking, insufficient, inadequate
Antonyms: enough, sufficient, adequate
Sentence: Many natural materials are becoming scarce.
- Asunder (adv.)
Meaning: into parts or pieces (अलग)
Synonyms: apart, to pieces, piecemeal
Antonyms: together, join, connect
Sentence: Their opinions are poles asunder.
- Zilch (noun)
Meaning: a person of no importance or influence (कुछ भी नहीं)
Synonyms: nobody, nothing, cipher
Antonyms: somebody, celebrity, lead

- Linger (verb)
Meaning: as in to delay (देर तक ठहरना)
Synonyms: delay, crawl, loiter
Antonyms: hurry, rush, scurry

- Meander (verb)
Meaning: as in to wander (घूमना)
Synonyms: wander, stroll, roam
Antonyms: tangle, web, maze
Sentence: Cows still meander through these villages.
- Polemic (noun)
Meaning: an aggressive attack on or refutation of the opinion or principles of another (विवाद)
Synonyms: argumentative, moot, criticism
Antonyms: praise, compliments, applause
Sentence: They managed to discuss the issues without resorting to polemics.
- Inculcate (verb)
Meaning: to fix beliefs or ideas in someone’s mind, especially by repeating them often (मन में बैठाना)
Synonyms: endue, Indue, engrain
Antonyms: Remove, clear, deprive
Sentence: I try to inculcate a sense of responsibility in my children.
