 ‘Vocabulary’

  1. Saliency (adj.)

Meaning: the quality of being noticeable or important. (महत्त्वपूर्ण)

Synonyms: remarkable, prominent, striking

Antonyms: subtle, unremarkable, obscure

Sentence: The saliency maps supported findings from other studies.

  1. Treatise (noun)

Meaning: a written work dealing formally and systematically with a subject. (निबंध)

Synonyms: monograph, article, tract

Sentence: The doctor wrote a treatise on alcoholism.

  1. Ingenious (adj.)

Meaning: having the skill and imagination to create new things (रचनात्मक)

Synonyms: inventive, innovative, creative

Antonyms: unoriginal, imitative

Meaning: a short, pithy statement expressing a general truth or rule of conduct. (कहावत)

  1. Bravura (adj.)

Meaning: great technical skill and brilliance shown in a performance or activity. (कुशलता)

Synonyms: virtuoso, magnificent, outstanding

Antonyms: artless, amateur, amateurish

Sentence: The film is directed with a technical bravura and visual splendour.

  1. Severance (noun)

Meaning: the action of ending a connection or relationship. (पृथक्करण)

Synonyms: sundering, split, separation

Antonyms: union, reconciliation

Meaning: relating to or situated on the shore of the sea or a lake. (नदी के किनारे)

Meaning: food or provisions. (अन्न)
