‘Vocabulary’
- Entailing (verb)
Meaning: involve (something) as a necessary or inevitable part or consequence. (आकर्षक)
Synonyms: necessitate, make necessary, require
Antonyms: unnecessary, optional
Sentence: The journey will entail changing trains twice.
- Tannery (noun)
Meaning: a place where animal hides are tanned; the workshop of a tanner. (चमड़े का कारख़ाना)
Sentence: Boots are made in this tannery.
- Jostle (verb)
Meaning: push, elbow, or bump against (someone) roughly, typically in a crowd. (झटका)
Synonyms: bump into, knock into, bang into
Antonyms: leave alone, pull, repress
Sentence: Don’t jostle against me!
- Blatant (adj.)
Meaning: (of bad behavior) done openly and unashamedly. (प्रबल)
Synonyms: flagrant, glaring, undisguised
Antonyms: concealed, moral, disguised

- Dolorous (adj.)
Meaning: feeling or expressing great sorrow or distress. (दर्दनाक)
Synonyms: mournful, woeful, doleful
Antonyms: cheery, happy, hopeful
Sentence: The dolorous film made me recall sad times.
- Evoke (verb)
Meaning: bring or recall to the conscious mind. (आह्वान)
Synonyms: bring to mind, call to mind, put one in mind of
Antonyms: disregard, forget, ignore
Sentence: The old house evoked memories of his childhood.
- Uncanny (adj.)
Meaning: strange or mysterious, especially in an unsettling way. (अलौकिक)
Synonyms: eerie, unnatural, preternatural
Antonyms: common, expected, natural
Sentence: His powers of observation were uncanny.
- Pertinent (adj.)
Meaning: relevant or applicable to a particular matter (उचित)
Synonyms: relevant, appropriate, apposite
Antonyms: irrelevant, pointless, inapposite
Sentence: He asked me a lot of very pertinent questions.
- Perusal (noun)
Meaning: the action of reading or examining something. (अध्ययन)
Synonyms: reading, scrutiny, inspection
Antonyms: ignorance, neglect,
Sentence: I continued my perusal of the instructions.
- Thud (verb)
Meaning: move, fall, or strike something with a dull, heavy sound. (गिरना)
Synonyms: thump, clunk, clonk
Antonyms: evade, dodge, escape
Sentence: The bullets thudded into the dusty ground.
