  1. Stringent (adj.)

Meaning: (of regulations, requirements, or conditions) strict, precise, and exacting (कड़ी से कड़ी)

Synonyms: strict, harsh, tough

Antonyms: flexible, lax, loose

Meaning: showing or having an insensitive and cruel disregard for others. (कठोर)

Meaning: lacking ease or grace. (भद्दा)

Synonyms: awkward, inelegant, graceless

Antonyms: graceful, elegant, urbane

  1. Knotty (adj.)

Meaning: full of knots (जटिल)

Synonyms: complex, complicated, difficult

Antonyms: simple, uncomplicated, easy

  1. Haughty (adj.)

Meaning: arrogantly superior and disdainful. (घमंडी)

Synonyms: arrogant, egotistic, proud

Antonyms: shy, humble, modest

Meaning: invalidate. (अमान्य ठहराना)

Meaning: done or shown openly. (प्रकट)

Synonyms: public, open, apparent

Antonyms: private, secret, uncertain

Sentence: The law has been nullified by the U.S. Supreme Court.

  1. Radical (adj.)

Meaning: relating to or affecting the fundamental nature of something. (मौलिक)

Synonyms: fundamental, elemental, basic

Antonyms: unimportant, secondary, nonessential

Sentence: Since 1870 there have been five radical changes made in New South Wales.
