‘Vocabulary’
- Theocracy (noun)
Meaning: a system of government in which priests rule in the name of God or a god. (धर्मतन्त्र)
Synonyms: monarchism, monarchy, monocracy
Antonyms: democracy, self-governance, self-government
Sentence: Under a theocracy, an entire nation officially follows one religion.
- Proselytizing (noun)
Meaning: the action of attempting to convert someone from one religion, belief, or opinion to another. (धर्मांतरण)
Synonyms: converting, proselyting
Antonyms: secularizing, dissuading
Sentence: He strongly disapproved of the proselytizing that went on under the cloak of humanitarianism.
- Inconceivable (adj.)
Meaning: not capable of being imagined or grasped mentally; unbelievable. (समझ से बाहर)
Synonyms: beyond belief, unbelievable, extremely difficult to believe
Antonyms: believable, cogitable, conceivable
Sentence: She found the idea quite inconceivable.
- Anathema (noun)
Meaning: something or someone that one vehemently dislikes. (अभिशाप)

- Provenance (noun)
Meaning: the place of origin or earliest known history of something. (उत्पत्ति)

- Doldrums (noun)
Meaning: a state or period of inactivity, stagnation, or depression. (निष्क्रिय)
Synonyms: inactive, quiet, dormancy
Antonyms: continuance, continuation
Sentence: Recent economic doldrums have damaged the rural west.
- Pickets (noun)
Meaning: a person or group that watches over someone or something (पहरेदार)
Synonyms: guards, keepers, lookouts
Sentence: The pickets persuaded some drivers not to enter the factory.
- Impermanence (noun)
Meaning: the state or fact of lasting for only a limited period of time. (अनस्थिरता)
Synonyms: ephemerality, evanescence, fleetingness
Antonyms: endurance, permanence, permanency
Sentence: Change, impermanence is characteristic of life.
- Federate (verb)
Meaning: (with reference to a number of states or organizations) form or be formed into a single centralized unit, within which each state or organization keeps some internal autonomy. (एक संस्था में सम्मिलित करना)

Antonyms: segregate, separate, split

- Feisty (adj.)
Meaning: feeling or displaying eagerness to fight (आक्रमणशील)
Synonyms: aggressive, agonistic, bellicose
Antonyms: nonaggressive, nonbelligerent, pacific
Sentence: He launched a feisty attack on the government.
