How to resign from IBPS Bank and Join SBI?: Know the complete Details and procedure

In every students’ mind, there is a question that if I have cleared IBPS clerk and after joining if I will clear SBI clerk then what if

• I want to join SBI as a clerk?
• What is the process of resignation in these banks?
• Are there any service bond agreements, if yes then what is the amount and duration of bond?

In this article, all the questions related to the resignation process will be cleared.

♦Probation period

• In all Public Sector Banks, in clerical cadre, there is 6 months’ probation period.
• If you want to resign and you are in probation period, then you need to serve 15 days’ notice period before resignation and you have to write a resignation application in the prescribed format (the bank will itself provide you with the format) and then you need to forward it to HRM section.
• If you don’t want to serve notice period, then you need to deposit salary of 15 days in the probation period.
• and, in case if you have completed your probation period then you don’t need to serve any notice period before the resignation, you will get resignation within a few days of submitting your resignation letter to HRM section.

♦What is the Service Bond Agreement process?

• At the time of joining in the clerical cadre, there is no signing of any type of service bond. It is only signed in the Bank PO posts and for Bank PO in different Public Sector banks, there are different processes and criteria of the bond agreement.
• e.g. In Canara Bank, candidates have to sign a service bond agreement of 1 Lakh+ 18% GST for a minimum period of 2 years.
• In other PSBs, the amount and duration of the bond vary.

♦No Objection Certificate (NOC) clearance

After writing your resignation application when you will submit it to the HRM section, they will provide you with a NOC certificate which you will need to join in the next organization.
