The 2022 Winter Olympics which has official name is the XXIV Olympic Winter Games and commonly known as Beijing 2022, was concluded between 4 and 20 February 2022 in Beijing, China. It was an international winter multi-sport event.

Host country:

Beijing a city in China was picked out as the host city in 2015 at the 128th IOC Session in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The selection of the Chinese city was marking its second time hosting the Olympics, and the last of three consecutive Olympics hosted in East Asia. Beijing became the first city to have hosted both the summer and Winter Olympics Having previously hosted the 2008 Summer Olympics.

The design for the Games’ medals was revealed on 26 October 2021. The design is based on traditional Chinese astronomy and astrology as the games were held concurring with the Chinese New Year festivities.
