Exp. M.P. to launch ‘Yuva Shakti Corona Mukti Abhiyan’

Madhya Pradesh will launch ‘Yuva Shakti Corona Mukti Abhiyan’ to raise awareness among people on covid-19 pandemic. Yuva Shakti Corona Mukti Abhiyan means “free from corona with the help of youth power campaign”.

Under the campaign, college teachers and about16 lakh students will be made aware of covid-19 infection by teaching them Covid appropriate behaviour and vaccination.

Campaign will be run by Higher Education and Technical Education Department in association with Public Health and Family Welfare Department.

Exp. UN urges action to end Aids epidemic by 2030

The UN General Assembly overwhelmingly approved a declaration calling for urgent action to end AIDS by 2030, noting “with alarm” that the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated inequalities and pushed access to AIDS medicines, treatments and diagnosis further off track.

The declaration commits the assembly’s 193 member nations to implement, including reducing annual new HIV infections to under 3,70,000 and annual AIDS-related deaths to under 2,50,000 by 2025. It also calls for progress toward eliminating all forms of HIV-related stigma and discrimination and for urgent work toward an HIV vaccine and a cure for AIDS.

Exp. Biotechnology company MyLab appoints Akshay Kumar as brand ambassador

Bollywood superstar, Akshay Kumar has been appointed as the new brand ambassador of biotechnology company Mylab Discovery Solutions.

This announcement comes days after the Pune-based firm launched the country’s first COVID-19 self-test kit “CoviSelf”. The partnership with Akshay is aimed at creating awareness for Mylab’s products and kits such as CoviSelf.

Mahavir Chakra recipient legendary veteran, Brigadier Raghubir Singh has passed away.

He was commissioned on 18 Apr 1943 into the Sawaiman Guards as a Second Lieutenant and fought a number of wars including the second world war.

Exp. National Award-winning actor Sanchari Vijay passes away at 38

National award-winning Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay, who sustained injuries in a road accident. “He is brain dead and his family has to decide whether they can donate his organs.

Vijay had won the national award for his performance in the film ‘Naanu Avanalla Avalu’ (I’m not him, her) in 2015.
