Exp. As many as 750 tigers have died in the country in the last eight years due to poaching and other causes, with Madhya Pradesh reporting the highest casualties at 173, according to an official data.

Of these total tiger mortalities, 369 were due to natural causes, 168 due to poaching, 70 deaths are under scrutiny and 42 due to unnatural reasons, including accident or conflicts events. it provided data only for the eight years beginning 2012.

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Prakash Javadekar had in December 2019 said that tiger population in the country has increased by 750 in the last four years from 2,226 to 2,976 (Present Time).

Exp. The Labor and Employment Department Government of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has launched the Raj Kaushal Portal and online Shramik exchange on World Environment Day. Under this portal, employment is ensured to those migrant workers who are unemployed.

Exp. GMR-led Hyderabad International Airport received the highest Platinum Recognition in the Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific Green Airports Recognition 2020 in the 15-35 million passengers per annum (MPPA) category.

Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific has announced the results of the region’s annual Green Airports Recognition 2020 for efficient water management practices.

The recognition was the outcome of the submissions shared this year focussed on water management documenting approaches to waste-water treatment, water harvesting, recycling and reduction.

Exp. Abu Dhabi-based sovereign investor Mubadala Investment Company will buy 1.85 per cent stake in Jio Platforms for Rs 9,093.6 crore, RIL said on Friday. With this investment, Jio Platforms has raised Rs 87,655.35 crore from leading global technology and growth investors, including Facebook, Silver Lake, Vista Equity Partners, General Atlantic, KKR and Mubadala.

Exp. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on 5th June said it was setting up a Payment Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF) with a corpus of Rs 500 crore, with an aim to give a push to digital payments nationwide.

The RBI has made an initial contribution of Rs 250 crore covering half the fund. The remaining will come from the card-issuing banks and card networks operating in the country.

Exp. A survey released by the Reserve Bank has showed that Indian economy may contract by 1.5 percent in FY21 though the next fiscal is expected to be much better.

“Real gross domestic product (GDP) is likely to contract by 1.5 per cent in 2020-21 but is expected to revert to growth terrain next year, when it is likely to grow by 7.2 per cent,” said the Survey of Professional Forecasters (SPF) sponsored by the RBI.

It added that real gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) is likely to register negative growth of 6.4 per cent in 2020-21 but is expected to grow by 5.6 per cent in 2021-22.

While the actor’s rank has witnessed a drop from last year, he is the only actor from Bollywood to feature in the Top 100 list.
