Solutions

Ans.1. (e)

 The sentence is grammatically correct.

Ans.2. (a)

Use ‘if’ in place of ‘until’. ‘Until’ is used up to the particular time and ‘if’ is used for condition. E.g. until he comes, you can stay here. If he comes, I will offer him a job.

Ans.3.(a)

Use ‘not only’ after ‘believes’ because ‘not only…but also’, ‘neither…nor’, ‘either…or’, ‘both…and’ is used to connect the words or group of words. ‘E.g. not only Hari but also Hira is handsome.

Ans. 4.(c)

Use article ‘a’ before ‘morning walk’ means in place of ‘morning walk’, ‘ a morning walk’ is used because ‘go for a walk’, ‘go for a swim’, ‘go for a bath’, its use is idiomatic.

Ans.5. (e)

 The sentence is grammatically correct.

Ans.6. (a)

Use ‘look’ in place of ‘looks’ because the subject of the sentence ‘we’ is in plural form, for that plural verb is used.

Ans.7. (b)

Use ‘have’ in place of ‘are’ because after ‘is/are/am/was/were’ ‘been’ is not used. It is used after ‘has/have/had’ and the subject of the sentence is plural ‘All the questions’, therefore ‘have’ will be used in place of ‘are’.

Ans. 8.(a)

In place of ‘keep’, ‘kept’ will be used because ‘have, has, had, having + third form of verb’ is used. E.g. He has done all the work. Having done all the work, he went home.

Ans. 9.(d)

Use ‘him’ in place of ‘them’ because subject of the sentence ‘ the teacher’ is in singular form.

Ans. 10.(b)

Use ‘thrown’ in place of ‘threw’ because with ‘have, had, has,’ third form of verb is used.
