India International Seafood Show 2023
Marine Products Export Development Authority(MPEDA) with the association of Seafood Export Association Of India(SEAI) is going to hold the 23rd edition of India International Seafood Show 2023 in Kolkata, West Bengal. It will be the 23rd edition of this tremendous show and begin at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan in Kolkata. The date on which the India International Seafood Show will be held is 15th February to 17th February 2023. The place where the India International Seafood Show will be held is 7,000 sqm and there will be around 350 or more stalls present in the upcoming show.
The India International Seafood Show will provide a platform to the country’s marine ecosystems, farming and fishing sectors to show their products and start partnerships among overseas buyers and increase the share of the seafood market of India. It will give the opportunity to the Indian manufacturers and suppliers to promote their products among other countries’ companies.
In this edition, there will be the use of artificial intelligence and various new technologies for enhancing the manufacturing, processing and displaying of seafood products. The export of India amidst 2021-22 was 13,69,264 tons of marine and seafood products. It was worth US 7.76 bn. It became the most all-time high value export. The production of shrimp in India crossed one million MT during 2021-22. The estimated target to achieve US 15bn in the seafood products export in next five years.
By sustainable development, introduction of new technologies and using disruptive artificial intelligence, the target of achieving US 15bn in the upcoming five years can be completed.
