All About Monkey Pox

Recently, Monkey pox as a disease is seen over almost 12 countries after coronavirus.
Monkeypox is an infectious disease which is usually a mild self-limited illness with patients generally making a full recovery within a few weeks.
This disease spreads by close contact.
This disease is a “biologically plausible” also circulating outside of the countries where it is endemic.
It contains two strains among one is milder West African strain which is currently circulating in Europe and North America.
This virus has “high risk” exposure to the virus could occur via contact with a patient’s broken skin, mouth, nose or bodily fluids, but it could also happen through contact with contaminated clothes or bedding.
Belgium has become the first country in the world to implement a compulsory 21-day quarantine for the disease.
Health Officials U.K. and Belgium have introduced three-week quarantines to prevent the transmission of disease.
Up to the date, total number of 20 cases from Uk has been confirmed of the monkeypox and Belgium was the first country to detect the first three monkeypox cases with the three patients linked to the Dark lands fetish festival in the Belgian city of Antwerp.
Recently, WHO has also confirmed 92 confirmed cases and 28 suspected cases of monkeypox in the U.S., Australia and Germany. Portugal, Spain and the U.K. have the highest number of confirmed cases.
Symptoms of Virus:
- Swollen Glands,
- Red sports, etc.
Recently, the virus can be controlled through some vaccines like Smallpox vaccine, cidofovir, ST-246 and Vaccinia immune globulin (VIG) but JYNNEOS also known as Imvamune or Imvanex which has been licensed in the US.
In 2018, similar spread of the disease was faced off in Europe, Britain, Israel and Singapore.
Monkeypox was first discovered in 1958 and in 1970 first human case was found in Democratic Republic of Congo.
