SEBI Grade A Recruitment 2020:

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is the regulator for the securities market in India owned by the Government of India has released the notification for the recruitment of SEBI Grade A Officer 2020 for the post of General, Legal, Information Technology Engineering, Research and Official Language Streams.

♦Age Limit (As on 29/2/2020)

  •  A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on February 29, 2020 i.e., candidate must have been born on or after March 01, 1990.
  • The upper age-limit prescribed above will be relaxable:

(i) Up to a maximum of five years for candidates belonging to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe if the posts are reserved for them;

(ii)Up to a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates if the posts are reserved for them;

♦Application Fee:

  • General/OBC/EWS: 1000
  • ST/SC: 100/-

♦Salary:

  • After the selection of a candidate, he/she has to undergo the probation period of two years. The pay scale of officers in Grade A is Rs. 28150-1550(4)-34350-1750(7)-46600-EB-1750(4)-53600- 2000(1)-55600 (17 years). Presently, the gross emolument including SEBI’s Contribution towards National Pension Scheme (NPS), Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Family Allowance, Local Allowance etc. at Mumbai at the minimum of this scale is approx. Rs. 1,07,000/- p.m. without accommodation and Rs. 73,000/- p.m. with accommodation.

  • Benefits: Other benefits viz., Leave Fare Concession, Medical Expenses, Eye Refraction, Education Allowance, Financial Dailies, Book Grant, Briefcase, Conveyance Expenses, House Cleaning Allowance, Staff Furnishing Scheme, Scheme for Purchasing Computers, Subsidized Lunch Facility and all other benefits as admissible to an Officer in Grade A in SEBI.
  • Accommodation: Residential accommodation would be provided subject to availability
  • Posting: The incumbent may be posted and transferred to any location in India where SEBI has its Offices. The recruited officers may be posted to any department of SEBI, irrespective of stream.

♦SEBI Grade -A 2020  Exam Pattern

  • Phase I (online screening examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each)
  • Phase-II (online examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each)
  • Phase-III is Interview.

 Note:

  • There is a provision of negative marking (1/4th of marks assigned to the question) for both the Papers of Phase-I.
  • Candidates would need to secure separate cut-off in each paper. Along with  aggregate cut-off marks of 40% in Phase I exam to be shortlisted for Phase II Examination.
  • Phase -I Marks  shall be used only for shortlisting the candidates for Phase II examination. It will not be counted for final selection of the candidates.

The on-line examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each will be held on May 03, 2020. Pattern of Phase-II is given below

  • Candidates shortlisted for Phase II will be issued new Hall Tickets.
  • Paper II will be conducted in various shifts for the candidates applying in multiple streams,the timings of which will be intimated in the Hall Ticket.
  • There is provision of negative marking of 1/4th  for Paper 2 in Phase II.
    (except IT stream for).
  • Phase II.
    An aggregate of 40 % is required to score in Phase-II.
  • Candidates who will qualify the Phase II will only be called for the final stage of Interview. And the list of those selected candidates for Interview will be made available on SEBI website.

Interview

It is the final Phase for the recruitment of SEBI Grade-A Officers. Those candidates who will qualify the Phase will be called for interview. The language of the interview can be opted by Candidate either in Hindi or English. Ratio of Phase-II and interview to be considered to prepare the final merit list is 85:15.
