Novak Djokovic became the first man player to win 23 Grand Slam titles in Open Era after defeating his counterpart Norwegian Casper Ruud in the French Open men’s singles final. Novak Djokovic has scripted history to win 23 Grand Slam titles in Open Era.

Serbian player, Novak Djokovic is now the first man to win all four Slams at least three times.

He also becomes the oldest champion at Roland Garros and leaves behind Nadal.

Novak Djokovic was born on 22 May 1987 in Belgrade, SR Serbia.

As per the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings, he is at the top in table tally and considered as World No. 1 in singles.

Djokovic has been ranked world No. 1 for a record total 388 weeks in a record 12 different years, and finished as the year-end No. 1 a record seven times.

Djokovic started playing the game as a professional player at the age of 20 years and won his first major title at the 2008 Australian Open.

Djokovic is the first man to win all four majors at least three times.

Only Margaret Court and Serena Williams in women’s tennis have scored 23 Grand Slam titles.
