• The total cost to build Ram Temple in Ayodhya is estimated around ₹85,000 crore.
• There is one important point to understand the role of the State to build cities and create investment.
• We all know the profit or surplus of capital of the state should directly invest in the social goods not for religious goods.
• Here social goods means advanced education, building modern infrastructures, Health, social infrastructure and for the betterment of all over society.
• But currently India is doing the total opposite to build and spend enormous surplus of capital in religious infrastructure.
• According to the World Bank, India needs to invest around ₹840 billion in the next five years for urbanization in the country.
• However it is good to spend and invest enormous money on religious infrastructure, be it for tourism and production and be beneficial for the overall development.
• But apparently there is no direct plan to justify these expenditures to build religious infrastructure.
• We need to measure things in a different way and the government should be clear about its plan and plan for urbanization through religious infrastructure in India.
