‘Vocabulary’
- Prescient (adj.)
Meaning: having or showing knowledge of events before they take place. (पूर्वज्ञान रखनेवाला)
Synonyms: prophetic, predictive, visionary
Antonyms: careless, heedless, incautious
Sentence:
- Ominous (adj.)
Meaning: giving the impression that something bad or unpleasant is going to happen; threatening; inauspicious. (अमंगल)
Synonyms: threatening, menacing, baleful
Antonyms: unthreatening, auspicious, benign
Sentence: There was an ominous silence at the other end of the phone.
- Counseled (verb)
Meaning: give advice to (someone). (सलाह दी)
Synonyms: advised, confabbed, confabulated

- Fastidious (adj.)
Meaning: very attentive to and concerned about accuracy and detail. (दुराराध्य)
Synonyms: scrupulous, punctilious, assiduous

Meaning: depart quickly or hurriedly; run away. (भागना)

Meaning: create difficulties for (someone or something), resulting in delay or obstruction. (रोकना)
Synonyms: impede, interfere with, hamper
Antonyms: aid, assist, facilitate

- Rebuts (verb)
Meaning: claim or prove that (evidence or an accusation) is false. (खंडन)
Synonyms: deny, negate, deflate
Antonyms: allow, agree, abet
Sentence: He had to rebut charges of acting for the convenience of his political friends.
