  1. Ferocity (noun)

Meaning: the state or quality of being ferocious. (क्रूरता)

Synonyms: brutality, brutishness, barbarity

Antonyms: benignity, humanity, kindness

Sentence: The lion attacked its victim with great ferocity.

Meaning: shorten (a piece of writing) without losing the sense. (संक्षेप करना)

Synonyms: shorten, cut, cut short

Antonyms: elongate, extend, lengthen

  1. Wretch (noun)

Meaning: an unfortunate or unhappy person. (बदकिस्मत)

Meaning: unpredictable and potentially dangerous. (अप्रत्याशित)

  1. Apocryphal (adj.)

Meaning: (of a story or statement) of doubtful authenticity, although widely circulated as being true. (शंकायुक्त)

Synonyms: fictitious, made-up, untrue

Antonyms: real, factual, literal

Sentence: Most of the stories about him are apocryphal.

  1. Toil (noun)

Meaning: work extremely hard or incessantly. (कठिन परिश्रम)

Synonyms: work hard, labor, drudgery

Antonyms: relax, repose, rest

Sentence: If you want knowledge, you must toil for it.

  1. Pelf (noun)

Meaning: money, especially when gained in a dishonest or dishonorable way. (धन)

Meaning: a channel for conveying water or other fluid. (पाइपलाइन)

Synonyms: channel, duct, pipe

Sentence: This is the major conduit for carrying water to the military base

  1. Knavery (noun)

Meaning: a playful or mischievous act intended as a joke (धूर्तता)

Synonyms: roguery, waggery, frolic

Sentence: Knavery may serve for a turn, but honesty is in the long run.
