‘Vocabulary’
- Rebuttal (noun)
Meaning: a refutation or contradiction. (खंडन)
Synonyms: refutation, denial, disproving
Antonyms: attestation, confirmation, corroboration
Sentence: The retrial is in the rebuttal phase.
- Stentorian (adj.)
Meaning: (of a person’s voice) loud and powerful. (बुलंद)
Synonyms: loud, booming, thundering
Antonyms: gentle, low, soft
Sentence: He introduced me to the staff with a stentorian announcement.
- Detractor (noun)
Meaning: a person who disparages someone or something. (आलोचक)
Synonyms: disparager, denigrator, deprecator
Antonyms: commender, praiser, comforter

- Fretful (adj.)
Meaning: feeling or expressing distress or irritation. (चिड़चिड़ा)
Synonyms: distressed, upset, miserable
Antonyms: affable, companionable, cordial
Sentence: The child was tired and fretful.
- Thuggery (noun)
Meaning: violent behavior, especially of a criminal nature. (गुंडापन)
Synonyms: inhumanity, brutalities, bullying

- Humbug (verb)
Meaning: deceptive or false talk or behavior. (धोखा देना)

Meaning: a place or position affording a good view of something. (सहूलियत)
Synonyms: viewpoint, standpoint, stance
Antonyms: detriment, stranglehold

- Sway (noun)
Meaning: the power to bring about a result on another (बोलबाला)
Synonyms: effect, impact, influence
Antonyms: impotence, impotency, powerlessness
Sentence: Under the sway of euphoria, she offered to take us all out to dinner in celebration of her new job.
- Symposium (noun)
Meaning: a conference or meeting to discuss a particular subject. (संगोष्ठी)
Synonyms: assembly, conclave, congregation
Sentence: He had been taking part in an international symposium on population.
