‘Vocabulary’
- Futility (noun)
Meaning: pointlessness or uselessness. (निरर्थकता)
Synonyms: fruitlessness, vanity, pointlessness
Antonyms: use, usefulness, utility
Sentence: The sheer futility of it all exasperates her.
- Beget (verb)
Meaning: give rise to; bring about. (उत्पन्न करना)
Synonyms: cause, give rise to, lead to
Antonyms: impede, limit, restrict
Sentence: One change in the natural environment will beget others.
- Palpable (adj.)
Meaning: (of a feeling or atmosphere) so intense as to seem almost tangible. (स्पष्ट)
Synonyms: perceptible, perceivable, visible
Antonyms: impalpable, imperceptible, inappreciable
Sentence: The tension between Amy and Jim is palpable.
- Quixotic (adj.)
Meaning: exceedingly idealistic; unrealistic and impractical. (विलक्षण)
Synonyms: idealistic, unbusinesslike, visionary
Antonyms: clear-eyed, clear-sighted
Sentence: This is a vast, exciting, and perhaps quixotic project.
- Enamor (verb)
Meaning: be filled with a feeling of love for. (आनंदित करना)
Synonyms: in love with, infatuated with, besotted with
Antonyms: allergic, averse
Sentence: Her beauty enamored the prince.
- Ostensibly (adv.)
Meaning: apparently or purportedly, but perhaps not actually. (प्रत्यक्ष तौर पर)
Synonyms: apparently, seemingly, on the face of it
Antonyms: implausibly, impossibly, improbably
Sentence: Troops were sent in, ostensibly to protect the civilian population.
- Sinewy (adj.)
Meaning: having muscles capable of exerting great physical force (बलवान)
Synonyms: muscular, brawny, strong
Antonyms: delicate, feeble, frail
Sentence: I admire her sinewy prose style.
- Reverence (noun)
Meaning: deep respect for someone or something. (श्रद्धा)
Synonyms: high esteem, high regard, great respect
Antonyms: blaspheme, desecrate, profane

- Nimble (adj.)
Meaning: quick and light in movement or action; agile. (चतुर)

- Discernible (adj.)
Meaning: able to be discerned; perceptible. (नमूदार)
Synonyms: detectable, noticeable, perceptible
Antonyms: impalpable, imperceptible, inappreciable
Sentence: Her face was barely discernible in the gloom.
