‘Vocabulary’
- Bystander (noun)
Meaning: a person who is present at an event or incident but does not take part. (दर्शक)
Synonyms: onlooker, spectator, nonparticipant
Sentence: It looks like an innocent bystander was killed instead of you.
- Appall (verb)
Meaning: greatly dismay or horrify. (डराना)
Synonyms: horrify, shock, dismay
Antonyms: delight, gratify, please
Sentence: I was appalled by what I saw.
- Abridged (adj.)
Meaning: (of a piece of writing) having been shortened. (संक्षिप्त)
Synonyms: shortened, cut, cut short
Antonyms: extended, lengthy, long
Sentence: It was abridged from the original work.
- Pauper (noun)
Meaning: a very poor person. (कंगाल)
Synonyms: poor person, indigent, bankrupt
Antonyms: affluent, billionaire, tycoon
Sentence: He did die a pauper and is buried in an unmarked grave.
- Mugging (noun)
Meaning: an act of attacking and robbing someone in a public place. (डकैती)
Synonyms: break-in, burglary, robbing

- Confuting (verb)
Meaning: prove (a person or an assertion) to be wrong. (झूठा ठहराना)
Synonyms: disprove, show/prove to be false, contradict
Antonyms: proving, validating, verifying

- Burgher (noun)
Meaning: a citizen of a town or city, typically a member of the wealthy bourgeoisie. (नगरवासि)

- Knack (noun)
Meaning: an acquired or natural skill at performing a task. (आदत)

- Moiety (noun)
Meaning: each of two parts into which a thing is or can be divided. (आधा भाग)
Synonyms: half, moiety, part
Antonyms: entirety, whole, full
Sentence: The tax was to be delivered in two moieties.
- Quintessence (noun)
Meaning: the most perfect or typical example of a quality or class. (सारांश)
Synonyms: perfect example, exemplar, acme
Sentence: John is the quintessence of good manners.
