  1. Irksome (adj.)

Meaning: causing annoyance (परेशान करने वाला)

Synonyms: annoying, frustrating, irritating

Antonyms: delightful, pleasing, interesting

Sentence: It is irksome to listen to his constant complaints.

  1. Nullification (noun)

Meaning: the doing away with something by formal action (खत्म करना)

Synonyms: abolition, repeal, cancelation

Antonyms: legislation, establishment, validation

Sentence: An act aimed at curbing sedition that was perhaps the most serious attempt at nullification of freedom of the press in the nation’s history.

  1. Bellicose (adj.)

Meaning: feeling or displaying an eagerness to fight (लड़ाकू)

Synonyms: aggressive, militant, hostile

Antonyms: peaceful, peaceable, nonaggressive

Sentence: Bellicose hockey players who seem to spend more time fighting than playing.

  1. Risible (adj.)

Meaning: causing or intended to cause laughter (हँसने वाला)

Synonyms: funny, comedic, humorous

Antonyms: lame, unfunny, serious

Sentence: A risible comment that made the whole class laugh.

  1. Cascade (noun)

Meaning: a fall of water usually from a great height (झरना)

Synonyms: waterfall, fall(s), cataract

Sentence: A cascade of golden hair fell down his back.

  1. Woebegone (adj.)

Meaning: feeling unhappiness (दुखी)

Synonyms: sad, unhappy, depressed

Antonyms: cheerful, joyous, joyful

Sentence: the most woebegone people that I had ever seen in my life.

  1. Imbecile (noun)

Meaning: a stupid person (मूर्ख)

Synonyms: idiot, moron, stupid

Antonyms: idiot, moron, stupid

Sentence: What an imbecile that boy is!

  1. Winnow (verb)

Meaning: to remove fewer desirable choices from a group or list (हटाना)

Synonyms: discard, crop, trim

Antonyms: select, pick, choose

Sentence: They winnowed the pool of applicants down to a few of the strongest candidates.

  1. Tenacity (noun)

Meaning: ability or willingness to carry on despite danger, difficulty, or obstacle (दृढ़ता)

Synonyms: persistence, persistency, stamina

Antonyms: hesitation, indecision, indecisiveness

Sentence: Good luck is another name for tenacity of purpose.

  1. Trifle (noun)

Meaning: something of little importance (छोटी बात)

Synonyms: nothing, triviality, bagatelle

Sentence: Let us not speak of trifles when our nation may be going to war.
