‘Vocabulary’
- Dour (adj.)
Meaning: relentlessly severe, stern, or gloomy in manner or appearance. (कठोर)
Synonyms: stern, unsmiling, unfriendly
Antonyms: benign, friendly, gentle
Sentence: No wonder he looked so dour.
- Rebuff (noun)
Meaning: an abrupt or ungracious refusal or rejection of an offer, request, or friendly gesture. (रोक)
Synonyms: rejection, snub, slight
Antonyms: acceptance, embrace, welcome
Sentence: He received a humiliating rebuff from his manager.
- Deft (adj.)
Meaning: accomplished with the trained ability (निपुण)
Synonyms: adroit, artful, dexterous

- Trepidation (noun)
Meaning: a feeling of fear or agitation about something that may happen. (घबराहट)

- Vitriolic (adj.)
Meaning: filled with bitter criticism or malice. (कटु)
Synonyms: acrimonious, rancorous, bitter
Antonyms: encomiastic, respectful, praiseful
Sentence: The newspaper launched a vitriolic attack on the president.
- Cacophony (noun)
Meaning: a harsh discordant mixture of sounds. (कोलाहल)

- Freebie (noun)
Meaning: a thing given free of charge. (मुफ्त)

- Falter (verb)
Meaning: start to lose strength or momentum. (लड़खड़ाना)
Synonyms: hesitate, wobble, waver
Antonyms: dive (in), plunge (in)
Sentence: The nurse saw him falter and made him lean on her.
- Raillery (noun)
Meaning: good-humored teasing. (मज़ाक)
Synonyms: teasing, chaff, banter
Sentence: She was greeted with raillery from her fellow workers.
