‘Vocabulary’
- Precept (noun)
Meaning: a general rule intended to regulate behavior or thought. (नियम)
Synonyms: principle, rule, tenet
Sentence: You won’t find this moral precept in the scriptures.
- Semblance (noun)
Meaning: the outward appearance or apparent form of something, especially when the reality is different. (दिखावा)
Synonyms: outward appearance, approximation, show
Antonyms: reality, truth
Sentence: She tried to force her thoughts back into some semblance of order.
- Diffidence (noun)
Meaning: modesty or shyness resulting from a lack of self-confidence. (संशय)
Synonyms: shyness, bashfulness, unassertiveness

- Deride (verb)
Meaning: express contempt for; ridicule. (उपहास करना)

Meaning: run hurriedly or furtively with short quick steps. (भागना)

- Adamant (adj.)
Meaning: refusing to be persuaded or to change one’s mind. (हठी)
