- Chide (verb)
Meaning: to criticize (someone) usually gently so as to correct a fault (डांटना)
Synonyms: scold, reprimand, berate
Antonyms: applaud, extol, praise
Sentence: The manager chided him for his delay.
- Straddle (verb)
Meaning: to be on both sides of (something) (विस्तार)
Synonyms: span, intersect, include
Antonyms: reduce, compact, close
Sentence: The movie straddles the line between comedy and drama.
- Zilch (noun)
Meaning: a person of no importance or influence (कुछ भी नहीं)
Synonyms: nobody, nothing, cipher
Antonyms: somebody, celebrity, lead
Sentence: She knows absolutely zilch about marketing.
- Feckless (adj.)
Meaning: lacking initiative or strength of character; irresponsible. (अबल)
Synonyms: useless, worthless, incompetent
Antonyms: efficient, expedient, efficacious
Sentence: He regarded the young man as feckless and irresponsible.
- Marring (verb)
Meaning: to affect slightly with something morally bad or undesirable (बिगाड़ना)
Synonyms: tainting, spoiling, staining
Antonyms: cleansing, purifying
Sentence: One scabbed sheep will mar a whole flock.
- Strewn (verb)
Meaning: to cover by or as if by scattering something over or on (बिखेरना)
Synonyms: spray, sprinkle, scatter
Sentence: Sidewalks were strewed with trash left by the parade watchers.
- Revocation (noun)
Meaning: the official cancellation of a decree, decision, or promise. (रद्दकरण)
Synonyms: cancellation, repeal, abandonment
Antonyms: continuation, beginning, initiation
Sentence: The government announced its revocation of 311 banking licenses.
- Fie (interjection)
Meaning: how surprising, doubtful, or unbelievable (धिक!)
Synonyms: oh, what
Sentence: Fie! you expect me to believe that sorry excuse?
- Mishmash (noun)
Meaning: an unorganized collection or mixture of various things (मिश्रण)
Synonyms: jumble, medley, clutter
Sentence: The painting was just a mishmash of colors and abstract shapes as far as we could tell.
- Fad (noun)
Meaning: a practice or interest that is very popular for a short time (उन्माद)
Synonyms: craze, trend, vogue
Antonyms: standard, classic
Sentence: His interest in photography is only a passing fad.
