  1. Imputation (noun)

Meaning: a charge or claim that someone has done something undesirable; an accusation. (इलज़ाम)

Synonyms: allegation, accusation, indictment,

Sentence: There are grounds for inquiring into the imputations of misconduct against him.

  1. Pell-Mell (adj.)

Meaning: lacking in order, neatness, and often cleanliness (तितर-बितर)

Synonyms: messy, littered, jumbled

Antonyms: orderly, organized, systematic

Sentence: The books were scattered pell-mell over the floor.

  1. Secern (verb)

Meaning: to understand or point out the difference in (अलग)

Synonyms: differentiate, distinguish, discern

Antonyms: confound, mingle

Sentence: And still, less is he able to secern the truth from the falsehood

  1. Malfeasance (noun)

Meaning: wrongdoing, especially by a public official. (दुराचार)

Synonyms: misconduct, wrongdoing, crime

  1. Compelling (adj.)

Meaning: evoking interest, attention, or admiration in a powerfully irresistible way. (सम्मोहक)

Synonyms: enthralling, captivating, gripping

Antonyms: unconvincing, ineffective, inconclusive

Sentence: She found his story so compelling that she had forgotten to drink wine.

  1. Bedeck (verb)

Meaning: to make more attractive by adding something that is beautiful or becoming (सजाना)

Synonyms: adorn, decorate, festoon

Antonyms: disfigure, deface, mar

Sentence: The hall was bedecked with flowers.

  1. Revere (verb)

Meaning: feel deep respect or admiration for (something). (सम्मान)

Synonyms: venerate, reverence, worship

Antonyms: desecrate, blaspheme, insult

Sentence: Students revere the old professors.

  1. Humdrum (adj.)

Meaning: lacking excitement or variety; dull; monotonous.  (नीरस)

Synonyms: boring, tedious, monotonous

Antonyms: interesting, intriguing, exciting

Sentence: The accountant said it was the most humdrum day that she had ever passed.

  1. Retorted (verb)

Meaning: say something in answer to a remark or accusation, typically in a sharp, angry, or wittily incisive manner. (जवाब देना)

Synonyms: answer, reply, respond

Antonyms: asked, inquired, questioned

Sentence: When told she couldn’t have it, she retorted, “Fine, I didn’t want it anyway!”

  1. Habitude (noun)

Meaning: a habitual tendency or way of behaving. (लगन)

Synonyms: affection, affinity, aptitude

Antonyms: apathy, disfavor

Sentence: They have a lifelong habitude of talking too much.
