  1. Punitive (adj.)

Meaning: inflicting or intended as punishment. (दंडात्मक)

Synonyms: penal, disciplinary, corrective

Antonyms: acquitting, exculpating, nonpunitive

Sentence: The UN has imposed punitive sanctions on the invading country.

  1. Insurgent (noun)

Meaning: a rebel or revolutionary. (विद्रोही)

Synonyms: mutineer, agitator, rebel

Antonyms: loyalist, patriot, supporter

Sentence: The soldiers were trained to shoot any enemy insurgent on sight.

  1. Dubious (adj.)

Meaning: hesitating or doubting. (संदेहपूर्ण)

Synonyms: doubtful, uncertain, unsure

Antonyms: undoubted, unproblematic, unquestionable

Sentence: I remain dubious about her motives.

  1. Reek (verb)

Meaning: smell strongly and unpleasantly (बदबू देना)

Synonyms: stink, smell, disgusting

Antonyms: aroma, fragrance, perfume

Sentence: The kitchen began to reek because he neglected to take out the garbage.

  1. Awning (noun)

Meaning: a sheet of canvas or other material stretched on a frame and used to keep the sun or rain off a storefront, window, doorway, or deck. (शामियाना)

Synonyms: canopy, shade, sunshade

  1. Plunge (verb)

Meaning: jump or dive quickly and energetically. (ग़ोता लगाना)

Meaning: grant or bestow (a title, degree, benefit, or right).

Meaning: strike repeatedly with the fists. (कूटना)

Synonyms: batter, pound, drub

  1. Sheen (noun)

Meaning: a soft luster on a surface. (चमक)

Synonyms: shine, luster, gleam

  1. Slumber (verb)

Meaning: fall into a deep peaceful sleep (नींद)

Synonyms: doze, nap, snooze

Antonyms: wakefulness, awakening, consciousness

Sentence: She fell into a deep and peaceful slumber.
