‘Vocabulary’
- Drape (verb)
Meaning: to make it more attractive by adding something that is beautiful or becoming (सजाना)
Synonyms: adorn, array, beautify
Antonyms: blemish, deface, disfigure
Sentence: The town hall was draped in bunting for the annual Fourth of July festivities.
- Impermanence (noun)
Meaning: the state or fact of lasting for only a limited period of time. (अनस्थिरता)
Synonyms: ephemerality, evanescence, fleetingness
Antonyms: endurance, permanence, permanency
Sentence: Change, and impermanence is characteristic of life.
- Disseminate (verb)
Meaning: spread (something, especially information) widely. (प्रसार)
Synonyms: spread, circulate, distribute
Antonyms: conceal, enshroud, hide
Sentence: Health authorities should foster good practice by disseminating information.
- Quantifiable (adj.)
Meaning: able to be expressed or measured as a quantity. (मात्रात्मक)
Synonyms: calculate, cipher, compute
Sentence: The number of websites on the Internet is not quantifiable.
- Prefatory (adj.)
Meaning: serving as an introduction; introductory. (प्रारंभिक)
Synonyms: introductory, preliminary, opening
Antonyms: after, behind, end
Sentence: The poet makes this clear in a prefatory note on the text
- Impetuous (adj.)
Meaning: acting or done quickly and without thought or care. (अविवेकी)
Synonyms: impulsive, rash, hasty
Antonyms: careful, cautious, heedful
Sentence: He’s always been an impetuous young man, rushing into things without asking questions first.
- Occlude (verb)
Meaning: stop, close up, or obstruct (an opening, orifice, or passage). (रोक देना)
Synonyms: block, obstruct, stop
Antonyms: clear, free, unblock
Sentence: A blood clot had occluded a major artery in his body.
- Finesse (noun)
Meaning: intricate and refined delicacy. (चालाकी)
Synonyms: skill, subtlety, expertise

- Jollity (noun)
Meaning: lively and cheerful activity or celebration. (चहलपहल)
Synonyms: conviviality, festivity, gaiety
Antonyms: dolefulness, melancholy, depression
Sentence: It was a memorable night of riotous jollity.
- Assortment (noun)
Meaning: a miscellaneous collection of things or people. (वर्गीकरण)
Synonyms: mixture, variety, array
Antonyms: homogeneity, homogeneousness, likeness
Sentence: This shop has a good assortment of goods to choose from.
