The University of Jammu Professor, Director, Librarian Recruitment Educational Qualification:

 Post Name Qualifications & Experience
Associate Professor
  • Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/ allied/ relevant disciplines.
  • A Masters Degree
  • A minimum of eight years of experience.
Professor
  • Ph.D. degree in the concerned/ allied/ relevant disciplines.
  • A minimum of ten years of teaching experience
Assistant Professor
  • Masters’ Degree level in concerned/ relevant/ allied subject with PG Diploma.
  • Ph.D. degree in the concerned/ allied/ relevant disciplines.
  • The National Eligibility Test (NET) or an accredited test (State Level Eligibility Test SLET/ SET) shall remain the minimum eligibility for appointment of Assistant Professor and equivalent positions.
Librarian
  • A Masters Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science
  • A minimum of ten years of experience.
  • Evidence of innovative library services, including the integration of ICT in a library.
  • A Ph.D. Degree in library science/ information science/ documentation/ archives and manuscript keeping.
Deputy Librarian
  • A Masters Degree in library science/ information science/ documentation science
  • A minimum of eight years of experience.
  • Evidence of innovative library services including integration of ICT in the library.
  • A Ph.D. Degree in library science/ Information science/ Documentation Science/ Archives and
    manuscript keeping/ computerization of library.
Assistant Librarian
  • A Masters Degree or equivalent professional degree.
  • A consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
  • Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC like
    SLET/ SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree.
Assistant Director
  • A Masters Degree
  • Record of having represented the university/ college at the inter-university/ inter-collegiate competitions or the State and/ or national championships.
  • Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC like
    SLET/ SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree. OR
  • An Asian game or commonwealth games medal winner who has a degree at least at the PostGraduation level
Director
  • A Ph.D. in Physical Education or Physical Education and Sports or Sports Science.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience.
  • Evidence of organizing competitions and coaching camps of at least two weeks duration.
  • Evidence of having produced the good performance of teams/ athletes for competitions like state/ national/ inter-university/ combined university, etc.
Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Chair (Offline Applications)
Chair Professor An Academician/ Scholar of outstanding track record in the designated area of study.

  • Pay Scale: Rs.57,700 – 2,18,200
