UPSC & SSC Examination update: New dates to be announced post May 3

♦UPSC and SSC examination Update

On 19th April, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said that the examinations of UPSC and SSC that were postponed or cancelled due to the lockdown will be held for sure.

He further said that after the lockdown ends on May 3, the commissions will decide the exam dates for the said exams.

He also said that keeping in mind of the aspirants, the dates will be decided in such a way that the aspirants will get sufficient time to reach their designated exam centres.

Dr Jitendra Singh quoted “We will take a call after May 3 and reschedule dates in a manner that it gives sufficient time to all the aspirants to reach to their designated examination centers”.

The UPSC had postponed Civil Services 2019 main exam and had put on hold the notifications of Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service exam. The Commission will conduct the Civil Services 2020 prelims exam, Engineering services main exam, Geologist services main exam.

And SSC had postponed the remaining Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (Tier-I) 2019 midway after conducting it for 3-4 days due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

SSC will also decide the dates of the remaining CHSL Tier-I exams after the lockdown period is over.

Other exams of SSC whose decision will also be taken after May 3:

• Junior Engineer (Paper-I) Examination, 2019,
• Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2019, and
• Skill Test for Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination, 2018
