Selected candidates will be placed at Pay Level-12 of the ROPA 2019 Pay Matrix. The salary structure is:

Basic Pay: Rs. 35,800 – Rs. 92,100/-
Allowances: DA, HRA, Medical Allowance & Other Benefits

WBMSC Sub-Assistant Engineer Selection Process 2025:

The selection process will consist of two stages:

Written Test (OMR-Based) – 200 Marks

100 objective-type questions
Each question carries 2 marks
Negative marking: 1 mark per wrong answer
Duration: 1.5 hours

Personality Test / Interview – 40 Marks

Candidates 3 times the number of vacancies will be called for interview based on merit.

Final Merit List: Based on the aggregate marks of the written test and personality test.
