WHO Chief and PM Modi visit to Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a three-day visit to Gujarat from today. He is going to dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects. PM Narendra Modi is expected to attend programmes in Gandhinagar, Banaskantha, Jamnagar and Dahod (Gujarat cities).

These programmes at different cities in Gujarat will embrace different sectors and will encourage ‘Ease of Living’ for people.

 

WHO Chief in Gujarat:

Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, is scheduled to be present during the three-day visit. He will attend a few events alongside PM Modi.

Ghebreyesus has come in Rajkot and spend the night there before joining PM Modi for the laying of the foundation stone for the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM) in Jamnagar.

PM of Mauritius in Gujarat:

Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth has also come in Rajkot (city in Gujarat) and he is welcomed with cultural events both at the airport and along the route of his cavalcade from the airport.

  

3-day Gujarat visit of PM Modi:

  • The Prime Minister has visited the Vidya Samiksha Kendra. It is a modern centre leverages data and technology in order to improve learning outcomes.
  • A new dairy complex and potato processing plant will be inaugurated at the Banas Dairy complex by PM Modi.
  • The foundation stone of the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine will be put in Jamnagar. This Centre will lend strength to the efforts of using traditional forms of medicine to further global wellness.
  • The Prime Minister will attend the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

 

Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit:

The Summit is going to be held under the Ministry of Ayush at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The summit will be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on 20th April 2022.

It is three- day long summit which will be attend by hundreds of diplomats and delegates in which investment to build India as the Global Ayush Destination would be attracted.
