The 10th edition of the World Happiness Report the report has been released by United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network on March 18, 2022. In the report Finland identified as the happiest country of the world, for the fifth times in a row.

World Happiness Report:

• The World Happiness Report is published since 2012.
• The report is made on two key ideas – happiness or life evaluation measured through opinion surveys and describing key elements that determine well-being and life evaluation across countries.
• The Happiness report is released by United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
• The report comprises rankings of national happiness based on several factors, and primarily on the responses by the individuals.
• The World Happiness Report is mostly ranks 150 countries based on several factors like real GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, generosity and perceptions of corruption.

Ranks of the report:

India ranked 136 which is a very low rank. Pakistan ranked above India’s rank at 121.

The top three positions in the World Happiness Report are captured by three of the Scandinavian nations. After following Finland in the top 10 ranks, Denmark was ranked as the second-happiest country in last year’s report. Iceland, Switzerland and Netherlands succeeded Finland and Denmark in the top 10 category.
