  • The Mumbai Central station of Railways was conferred with the ‘Eat Right Station’ certification with four stars rating by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
  • FSSAI, along with Western Railways (WR) and Indian Railways Catering Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), has trained food handlers, both in canteens and base kitchens. They inspected catering establishments at the station and certified and rated the standard of food.

India successfully conducts trial of indigenously made Prithvi-2 missile

  • India on 3rd December successfully conducted another night trial of its indigenously developed nuclear capable Prithvi-2 missile as part of a user trial for the armed forces from a test range in Odisha coast.
  • The flight test of the surface-to-surface missile was carried out barely a fortnight after two back-to-back trials of the Prithvi-2 were conducted successfully at night from the same base on November 20.
  • The trial of the surface-to-surface missile, which has a strike range of 350 kilometres.

  • Sourabh Verma’s impressive run at the Syed Modi International tournament came to an end after he lost in straight games to Chinese Taipei’s Wang Tzu Wei in the men’s singles final.
