Commencement of promotion exercise

Appreciating the management for conducting the promotion exercise of class I despite prevailling hearth crisis, AIIEA demanded that the same be started as soon as possible for promotion from class III to Class I (Para 13.2 and 13.1) and among class III and IV employees. The Chairman informed that IBPS, the conducting agency, was facing some difficult in allotting date of exam under para 13.2 GIPSA may decide to approach other agency, If IBPS expressed its inability to conduct the exam.

We also demanded that the departmental examination for promotion from RC/Drive/ Sub staff to the cadre of assistant should be introduced as to create opportunity for the leftover employee in these cadres who fail to meet the education qualification criteria. These employees posses seniority as well as work experiences and are capable of discharging their responsibility attached to the cadre of assistant.

The chairman was appreciative of our argument and assured that the same being a policy issue would be taken up in Governing Board meeting of GIPSA.
