‘Vocabulary’
- Belie (verb)
Meaning: (of an appearance) fail to give a true notion or impression of (something); disguise or contradict. (झुठलाना)
Synonyms: contradict, disprove
Antonyms: confirm, establish, prove
Sentence: The latest information belies the old theory.
- Corroborating (verb)
Meaning: confirm or give support to (a statement, theory, or finding). (की पुष्टि)
Synonyms: confirm, verify, endorse
Antonyms: confuting, disproving, refuting
Sentence: Recent research seems to corroborate his theory.
- Painstaking (adj.)
Meaning: done with or employing great care and thoroughness. (श्रमसाध्य)
Synonyms: careful, meticulous, thorough
Antonyms: careless, lax, neglectful
Sentence: She was always painstaking about her work.
- Damning (adj.)
Meaning: (of a circumstance or piece of evidence) strongly suggesting guilt or error. (घातक)
Synonyms: incriminating, condemnatory, condemning
Antonyms: fortuitous, fortunate, providential
Sentence: The tape contained damning evidence.
- Gratuitous (adj.)
Meaning: uncalled for; lacking good reason; unwarranted. (ऐच्छिक)
Synonyms: unjustified, without reason, uncalled for
Antonyms: essential, indispensable, necessary
Sentence: There’s too much crime and gratuitous violence on TV.
- Discretion (noun)
Meaning: the quality of behaving or speaking in such a way as to avoid causing offense or revealing private information. (विवेक)
Synonyms: circumspection, caution, carefulness
Antonyms: imprudence, indiscretion
Sentence: You must show discretion in choosing your friend.
- Deplorable (adj.)
Meaning: deserving strong condemnation. (खेदजनक)
Synonyms: disgraceful, shameful, dishonorable

- Prattling (verb)
Meaning: talk at length in a foolish or inconsequential way. (बकवास)

- Impermanence (noun)
Meaning: the state or fact of lasting for only a limited period of time. (अनस्थिरता)
Synonyms: ephemerality, evanescence, fleetingness
Antonyms: endurance, permanence, permanency
Sentence: Change, impermanence is characteristic of life.
- Loquacious (adj.)
Meaning: tending to talk a great deal; talkative. (बातूनी)
Synonyms: talkative, garrulous, voluble
Antonyms: closemouthed, laconic, quiet
Sentence: Davis was never loquacious on the subject of his progeny.
