NASA has successfully launched James Webb Space Telescope on the eve of Christmas i.e. 25^th December 2021. James Webb Space Telescope is the successor to the famous Hubble telescope and it is launched to study the earliest stars and peer back farther into the universe’s past than ever before.

It is currently on 29-day trip from its observing place. It is the most powerful and the largest space telescope till the date launched. The day after its launching, the James Webb Space Telescope has travel away from the Earth and set for observing soon.

The spacecraft’s temperature sensors and strain gauge began work overnight. President of USA Joe Biden congratulated NASA on its successful launching of the James Webb Space Telescope.

The launch has fulfilled a 25-year-long dream for scientists to launch a telescope into space that will able to discover answers to our origins.

What is James Webb Space Telescope?

The James Webb Space Telescope is developed by NASA in partnership with the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency. It is just a telescope which will be used to explore some studies in the space. This telescope has been given name of former administrator of NASA James E. Webb who played important role in the Apollo Program in 1960s.

Almost 20 years ago, that Webb’s name was first implemented to what had previously been denoted to as the “Next Generation Space Telescope” as it was way back in 2002. This was earlier planned to cost half a billion dollars and be ready for launch in 2007.

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has a lot to fulfill the successor of the Hubble Space Telescope. Hubble Space Telescope has exposed the wonders of the universe in unprecedented detail in last three decades since it was launched in 1990. It worked in mostly to analyze cutting-edge topics like dark energy and exoplanets that were barely dreamed of when it began operation.

A HUMAN-MADE TIME MACHINE

This man made machine is developed by scientists, engineers from 14 countries of the world. This machine called the telescope required 40 million hours of work to be ready before it was locked on top of the rocket. The telescope is that sensible it can theoretically found the heat coming from a bumblebee located at the distance of the Moon from Earth.

The telescope will discover every phase in the history of our Universe, ranging from the first softly bright or radiant glows after the Big Bang, to the shaping of solar systems capable of supporting life on planets like Earth, to the evolution of other planetary systems in the universe.
