RBI Assistant is an exam conducted by Reserve Bank of India. The Reserve Bank of India is India’s central bank, RBI is the regulator of the entire Banking in India. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released RBI Grade B officer Recruitment Notification every Year or alternative years.

RBI Grade B officer Syllabus is similar to the syllabus of various other bank exams. The Grade B Officer written exam is conducted in two phases and the syllabus for both is set by the Reserve Bank of India  and third Phase is Interview.

♦RBI Grade B 2021 Examination Pattern

The RBI Grade B exam consists of the following stages:

  • Phase – I Examination
  • Phase – II Examination
  • Interview

RBI Grade B Prelims Exam Pattern

RBI Grade B Phase-I examination will be objective type with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The Phase-I examination will continue as per the existing Phase-I examination for Grade-‘B’ (DR). There are four modules in Phase-I, viz.- General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.

RBI Grade B Mains Exam Pattern

Phase-II examinations will consist of three papers in MCQ pattern (except Paper-I) – viz. Paper-II on English (writing skills); Paper-I – Economic & Social Issues and Paper-III – (optional subjects) – Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics.

Note:

  • Candidates will be required to write all the papers online.
  • Only successful candidates of Phase-I will appear for Phase-II examination on a later date.
  • Based on the results of Phase-II examinations candidates will be shortlisted for interview.

RBI Grade B Interview

  • The final phase of the recruitment is the interview. Candidates who qualify the first two phases of written examination are called for an interview. The RBI Grade B interview is conducted for 50 marks. The final selection of a candidate is based on the marks scored in the phase II exam and interview combined together.
  • Final selection will be through merit lists which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) and Interview.

RBI Grade B Educational Qualification:

  • A Minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or equivalent in Bachelor’s Degree as well as in 12th and 10th standard examinations.

RBI Grade B Number of attempts:

  • The maximum permissible number of attempts (which were applicable for candidates belonging to Unreserved/General Category) has been increased from 4 to 6.
