I. More than two person lives below R. Two person lives between S and R. U is not the immediate neighbour of R(i.e. not immediate above or immediate below). T lives below U.
II. Q lives one of the floor below on which P lives. S does not live on the ground floor. Two person lives between U and T.
(a) If the data in statement I alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in statement II alone are not sufficient to answer the question.
(b) If the data in statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in statement I alone are not sufficient to answer the question.
(c) If the data either in statement I alone or in statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question.
(d) If the data in both statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.
(e) If the data even in both statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question.

2. Among the class of 45 students what is the rank of Atul from the left?
I. Anshika is 3rd to the left of Monika, who is 17th from the left. Atul is sitting exactly between Monika and Rahul.
II. Monika is five places to the right of Anshika, who is 19th from the right. Rahul is seven places to the left of Monika and is five places to the right of Atul.

Ans. b
Exp. From condition II, Anshika is 19th from the right so, her rank from left is (45-19+1)= 27th. Monika is five places to the right of Anshika, Monika’s rank from the left is 32nd. Now, Rahul is seven places to the left of Monika, Rahul’s rank from the left is 25th (32-7). Rahul is five places to the right of Atul. So, Atul’s rank is (25-5)= 20th from the left.
